NBN Data Holding Certificates- coming soon!

If you shared data via the NBN Gateway between 1st April 2016 and 31st March 2017, keep an eye on your inbox for your bespoke Data Holding Certificate for 2016/17!

As with the last two year’s certificates, this year’s version will detail how many records you shared via the NBN Gateway, how many were visible, the resolution(s) at which you stored and displayed your data, the data licences that you have applied, and how often data were requested and downloaded.

The aim of these certificates is to highlight data partner’s contributions to our significant national database, and show progress towards achieving the objectives set out in the NBN’s five year strategy. We hope that by receiving these certificates annually, you will be able to see how your shared data holdings have grown and become more open each year, and be able to demonstrate to members and partners of your organisation, as well as to funders and supporters, your commitment to sharing biological data nationally.

These certificates have been generated based on the data present on the NBN Gateway on 31st March 2017.

All data partners have the opportunity to make their data holdings certificate publicly available on their data partner page on the NBN website. If you would like to make your certificate public, please get in touch with a member of the NBN Secretariat team at support@nbn.org.uk.

The NBN Trust would like to thank everyone who has contributed towards the significant data holdings that were present on the NBN Gateway and those now available through the NBN Atlas.
