Further to the announcement in August’s Network News regarding the NBN Forum, we are pleased to bring you some additional information.
Firstly, we are pleased to confirm that we have been able to download all of the content from the Forum, including attachments, which means the historic information will be safely preserved. We will make a further download at the end of September, to ensure any more recent discussions are included, and we’ll keep this information until we find a new place to host it.
Secondly, thank you to those of you who gave us feedback on the retirement of the current Forum and your suggestions for the future, we are very grateful for your input and have been looking at all of the options.
We are pleased that ALERC (Association of Local Environmental Records Centres) is currently investigating whether it can host a Forum on its website and we will bring you news on this as soon as it’s available.
In the meantime, there is already information on the ALERC website relating specifically to Recorder6, which is the main area people are concerned about for ongoing help and advice, so please do use this as a resource in the short term.
Thank you once again for your support, we will bring you more information as soon as we can.
