Species experts needed

We are pleased to have published the sensitive species policy for the NBN Atlas. This was written in conjunction with many Network members who have helped to shape and solidify the NBN’s position on the display of sensitive species, and the criteria that define them.

Experts needed!

We have had some species experts who have volunteered themselves to review the lists of their species groups against these new criteria, for which we are very grateful. However, we still need more! Are you an expert for one of the groups listed below, and able to help us review sensitive species within that group? If so, please get in touch.

Groups that we still need to review are:

  • Reptiles
  • Amphibians
  • Fish
  • Beetles
  • Crustaceans
  • Spiders
  • Insects
  • Lichens
  • Crickets

If you are an expert for one of the groups above and believe there are potential species additions that should be made, please do let us know.  Even being told that there are no sensitive species in that group is very useful information for us. So, if you’re able to help, or know of someone that can, please get in touch with Katie.
