An updated master species list for NBN Record Cleaner is now available for download from the NBN Forum. The list is based on the latest version of the UK Species Inventory (April 2020).
The update has been made after we received a comment that when choosing from the dropdown list of non-unique names on NBN Record Cleaner, there is not enough information to make a choice because only the authority is offered. We have reformatted the list so that the UK Species Inventory accepted name is marked with an asterix.
The software updates link in NBN Record Cleaner doesn’t work on Windows 10, which is why this manual update is necessary. The NBN Record Cleaner application will be updated so that the species dictionary can be updated using software updates link for those people using Windows XP and Windows 7.
