Record records!

After the update of datasets on 31st July 2008, the number of records on the NBN Gateway rose to over 30 million. The milestone record of a Brown Hawker (Aeshna grandis), recorded in Berkshire in 1984, was loaded as part of the annual update of the Dragonfly Recording Network’s dataset.

It is only just over two years since we celebrated the 20 millionth record being loaded onto the Gateway, in March 2006. That record, of the common mayfly (Baetis rhodani), was part of a Caddisfly, Mayfly and Stonefly Recording Scheme (CAMSTARS) dataset provided by Craig Macadam.
