David Roy has been appointed as Head of the Biological Records Centre, with effect from 1 July 2010. His predecessor, Mark Hill, retires on 31 July 2010. Many of you will know David from his work on the Butterfly Monitoring Scheme, and as a longstanding contributor to many BRC projects. BRC is now firmly established at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology Wallingford, after two very busy and happy years since the move from Monks Wood. David is ideally qualified to take the unit forward, taking full advantage of the amazing new opportunities that have become available through the internet.
We would all like to wish David well in the future and Mark a very happy retirement.
