New faces

New team members

The NBN Trust is delighted to welcome Paula Lightfoot and Christopher Johnson, who both joined the team in August.

Paula takes over the role of Data Access Officer from Oliver Grafton, who left the NBN earlier this year to lead the development of the Biodiversity Action Reporting System (BARS).  Based with Natural England in Yorkshire, Paula will travel throughout the UK to help a wide range of groups and organisations to share wildlife information and to benefit from the services provided by the NBN.  Paula’s previous experience as a Local Authority Biodiversity Officer and Local Environmental Records Centre employee gives her a good insight into the importance of reliable biological data, as well as the constraints affecting data flow.  Paula is also a keen amateur recorder and is very proud of the fact that some of the Gateway’s 52 million records have her name next to them!
