In our latest data sharing news, we are pleased to highlight the following new or updated datasets, which have contributed to an amazing 387+ million occurrences for more than 53,000 species now being shared on the NBN Atlas!
Here are the latest additions and updates helping to strengthen our understanding of UK biodiversity.
📊New datasets:
- Birdex – Birdex Bird Sightings – 937,000+ new records from a new data partner
- Natural Resources Wales – 7,000+ new records
- Orkney Wildlife Recording Group – 38,000+ new or updated records
- Water Management Consortium – 127 new Himalayan balsam records from 1 January 1999 – 1 January 2025
🔄New or updated data resources
- Biological Records Centre – updates from various iRecord datasets shared
- British Mycological Society – updated Fungal Records Database of Britain and Ireland dataset, which included 1+ million new records
- Highland Biological Recording Group – updated various datasets, including sharing 2,000+ new records
- MammalWeb – updated datasets and 11,000+ new records added
- Natural History Museum, London – Collection Specimens – 3,000+ new records added
