The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) is investing £3.6 billion in heritage projects over the next decade as part of its new 10 year Heritage 2033 strategy. As part of its new strategy funding will be focused on saving heritage, protecting the environment, increasing inclusion and participation, and improving the sustainability of heritage organisations.
The Fund will continue to offer open funding programmes as well as introducing new strategic funding streams to address long-standing heritage issues, boost pride in place and connection to heritage, and strengthen the focus on heritage at the heart of places, nature and the environment. The Fund will regularly review its strategic interventions through three-year delivery plans. The first of these plans has now been announced.
Heritage 2033 delivery plan: 2023–2026
NLHF’s long-term strategy is supported by three-year delivery plans, setting out how the aims of the strategy will be delivered. They will allow a flexible approach to be taken, adapting to heritage sector needs and responding to external events or opportunities over the 10 years.
The 2023–2026 delivery plan sets out the key milestones and how National Lottery investment will be delivered for the first three years, as well as how the transition to its new strategy in 2023–2024 will take place. This plan will be updated annually as part of the NLHF’s business planning processes.
The full detail of the delivery plan can be found on the Heritage Fund’s website.
