MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation

The Jersey International Centre of Advanced Studies (JICAS) is a postgraduate research centre that focuses on islands and island communities. Its flagship programme is an MSc Island Biodiversity and Conservation in partnership with BioSciences, University of Exeter.

Delivered in the beautiful island of Jersey, Channel Islands, this programme invites a consortium of world-leading academics and professionals such as Professor Robert Whittaker (University of Oxford), Professor Kostas Triantis (University of Athens), and Dr. Sandra Nogue (Autonomous University of Barcelona) to work directly with its students, including the capstone module “Island Conservation in Action” in the beautiful island of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

Moreover, this research-led programme of study offers extensive fieldwork opportunities and dissertation options on islands across the world, ranging from the Caribbean to the Channel Islands to Macaronesia to the Mediterranean.
