The Government Office for Science is interested in developing better routes for science and engineering expertise into government policymaking, and is working to identify and improve knowledge exchange opportunities for scientists, engineers, and policy professionals between government and academia. These might involve schemes such as secondments, fellowships, loans, internships, shadowing placements, and more, and might be relevant for specialist or non-specialist scientists, engineers, and policy professionals.
The Office would therefore like you to complete a short survey to support this work.
- What knowledge exchange opportunities involving government are you already aware of?
- What barriers need to be overcome to make future schemes successful?
- How might provision need to be tailored when dealing with academics and/or scientists and engineers?
- Do you have any great success stories to share?
Please complete the 5- to 10-minute survey before 10 April to help improve the movement of science and engineering expertise across and into government.
