The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC) is seeking two new directors to fill vacancies in its Board of Directors. It is particularly looking for applications from individuals with expertise in finance, charity governance, public relations / communications and fundraising. Previous experience of working in the ecology sector, including as a service user of biodiversity data, would be desirable.
TWIC is an environmental charity with a reputation for excellence in the provision of biodiversity data within south-east and part of central Scotland. With 3.6 FTE staff plus volunteers, TWIC currently holds 4.35 million species records as well as habitats and designated sites information. Its events programme supports new and existing recorders and stimulates interest in biological recording amongst the public.
Being a Board member offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success and development of a well-regarded environmental charity, to broaden your own skills and widen your professional network. So, if you are passionate about helping biological recording in SE/central Scotland to thrive, TWIC would love to hear from you!
