Glasgow Life Museums is looking for a Collections Officer (Biological Records) to join its Museums and Collections team. You’ll play an essential role in managing the biological records database and making wildlife data available to communities, organisations and individuals. You will develop an expert knowledge of the biological records database and subject area and maintain the biological records database through active data collation and collecting.
Glasgow Museums Biological Records Centre, based in the Museums and Collections team, is the Local Environmental Records Centre that covers the Glasgow City Region and the eight local authorities within it. It provides robust, up-to-date biological data about wildlife and the environment. Funding has been secured from Glasgow City Council and Glasgow City Region to implement the first year of a three-year development plan for the records centre.
