The following funding and grant opportunities are now open.

Grants of up to £100,000 Available for Community and Environmental Projects (England)

The FCC Community Action Fund, run by FCC Communities Foundation and funded through the Landfill Communities Fund tax-credit scheme, is accepting applications for its next round of funding. Supported through the Landfill Communities Fund, the fund offers grants between £2,000 and £100,000 for projects that improve public amenities, conservation and biodiversity costing up to £500,000, including VAT.

Eligible applicants include registered charities, churches or parochial church councils, parish and town councils, local authorities, management committees, and Community Amateur Sports Clubs. Projects must be on land owned, leased, or managed by the applicant with at least five years remaining on the agreement.

The next application closing date is 5pm on 19 November 2025.

Funding for Community Environmental Projects (UK)
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to charities, social enterprises, and community groups for projects that connect communities with nature, aiming to improve physical and mental wellbeing while fostering positive action on climate change. Eligible initiatives may include arts and cultural activities, community gardening, green gyms, mental health support, conservation volunteering, green skills training, and efforts to enhance access to urban and natural green spaces. The funding is made available through the Naturesave Trust. Applications are open until 12pm on 27 November 2025.

Grants for Community Recycling, Biodiversity & Public Amenity Projects (Scotland)

Not-for-profit organisations such as registered charities, community councils, community groups and local authorities can apply for grants of between £2,000 and £40,000 to fund community recycling and biodiversity projects as well as improvements to public amenities, parks and historic buildings.

The funding is being made available through the FCC Scottish Action Fund.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on the 19 November 2025.

Funding for Projects that Teach Children about the Countryside (England and Wales)
Charities, not-for-profit organisations, and schools can apply for grants of up to £5,000 from the CLA Charitable Trust to support projects that help children and young people connect with nature and the countryside. Funding is available for initiatives that improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of people who are disabled or disadvantaged, including those who are financially, physically, or mentally disadvantaged, or who live in areas of deprivation. Applications are particularly encouraged for projects involving children and young people from these backgrounds. Previous grants have supported initiatives such as outdoor classrooms, forest school provisions, and horticultural areas within school grounds. Applications can be submitted at any time.
