Environmental Data Usage Survey

Calling everyone who uses environmental data – your input is needed!

A user research survey is currently running for a NERC / EDS project called “High5 for AI”, a collaboration between: Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), British Geological Survey, UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH), the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS) and the National Oceanography Centre (NOC).

The project aims to create a collection of APIs across different NERC data centres that anyone can use to connect their data and use with AI models. Any insights that can be provided in terms of current data workflows will help improve the output of the project, and the services that can be provided in the future.

The survey is focused on two specific use cases for minimum viable product:

1. Planning sites (eg: for offshore wind-farms)

2. Designing access to blue-green spaces

More information about the project is available here, which also takes you to the survey.
