More records!

Records keep growing!

The latest Gateway update means that the number of species records now available exceeds 60 million.  There are now 61,456,725 species records, coming from 532 different datasets.

The 60 millionth record is from Butterfly Conservation’s new dataset – “Butterfly distributions for Great Britain for the period 2005-2009” – from Butterfly Conservation and the Biological Records Centre.  The record is for Speckled Wood (Pararge aegeria) recorded in Dorset in 2009.
