Over the last few months the NBN Secretariat has been expanding in order for us to increase the pace of delivery of our programme of work. This has been driven by the development of the new Strategy and Action Plan that set out a range of activity needed to achieve our new vision.
Following the recruitment for a new part-time Communications Officer in the summer, we are delighted that Purba Choudhury has joined the team to work with Mandy Henshall in implementing the new communications strategy.
Purba brings a wealth of experience to the communications team, having previously held senior communications and PR roles in organisations as varied as symphony orchestras, a university, the Arts Council of England and a local authority. This is however the first environmental organisation she has worked for.
Mandy and Purba are currently busy with all aspects of the NBN Conference and the Awards for biological recording, as well as preparing the new NBN website. We are sure you will welcome Purba to the NBN family with your usual support and warmth and you will get to meet her at the Conference in November – just another reason to book your place now!
You can find out more about Purba on the team pages
