We sadly said farewell to Christine Tansey on Friday 27 February, who had served as the Biodiversity Data Manager since September 2025. Christine initially joined us as the Partnership Officer for the Better Biodiversity Data Project in March 2023. We’d like to thank Christine for her excellent work and wish her well in any new ventures.
We’re delighted to announce that Will Millard (previously Biodiversity Data Officer) will be taking on the role of Data and Analytics Manager, and Rhiann Stock (previously NBN Atlas Support Officer) will be moving into the role of Data Officer. Whilst we settle into these new roles and begin the process of returning to a team of three, there will be a period of reduced capacity for the Data Team. During this time, we kindly ask all Network members and users of the NBN Atlas to bear this in mind if support queries take a bit longer to resolve or data processing updates are not actioned as quickly as usual. The Data Team is committed to maintaining the NBN Atlas as the UK’s largest collection of biodiversity information, so do please continue to engage with us as usual.
