Data Officer

Role at the NBN Trust

  • Support with the mobilisation of data to the NBN Atlas, by working with new and existing data partners.
  • Produce reports and bespoke data requests for the data on the NBN Atlas, including on species occurrence records and usage stats.
  • Lead on the management of species lists and spatial layers included on the NBN Atlas
  • Support with developments and release of new features to the NBN Atlas through testing and engaging with the NBN Atlas user community.

As the NBN Atlas Support Officer for a few years at the Trust I got to know and understand the NBN Atlas and its user community very well! I am looking forward to getting to work more closely with the data on the NBN Atlas and supporting our data partners with mobilising their data.

I am also the iNaturalistUK lead at the Trust, helping to support the UK community of iNaturalist users and the use of the iNaturalist observations in conservation and research.

About Rhiannydd

A bit about me before joining the Trust and outside of my role. I’m a zoology graduate and previously worked at RECORD, the LERC for Cheshire and surrounding areas, and in my spare time I’m typically volunteering in citizen science-based roles to help collect biodiversity data or just spending time in nature!
