Goodbye and good luck Paula!

Paula has now left the NBN Trust after three and a half years in the role of Data Access Officer.  She has taken up a PhD studentship at Newcastle University to carry out research on data modelling to inform marine spatial planning in the North Sea, an area of great personal interest to Paula.

“It was a hard decision to leave the NBN Trust as I have enjoyed this job so much, I have learnt a lot and found it really rewarding to work with such knowledgeable and dedicated people throughout the NBN partnership.  However, I feel this is an excellent opportunity to build on everything I have learnt during my time here, to develop new skills and potentially make a real contribution to improving evidence-based decision making in the marine environment.
I still consider myself to be very much ‘part of the NBN’ as both a data provider and a data user.  I hope to stay in touch with everyone, and wish the new Data Liaison Officer every success in the job, which I’m sure they will enjoy as much as I did”.

We are sure you will wish Paula every success in her new role.

The NBN Trust is currently recruiting for a successor to Paula, who will become the Data and Liaison Officer.

Paula featured in the Marine Conservation Society’s members' magazine in December and we are pleased to include the article below and it can be downloaded here.
