Based on Chris Manley’s British Moths and Butterflies: a photographic guide, this new app allows you to access the fantastic resources of UKMoths.org.uk as well as distribution maps rom the National Biodiversity Network , courtesy of the National Moth Recording Scheme. This astonishing resource covers an amazing 2,147 species of lepidoptera found in Britain and Ireland and provides beautiful macro photographs of most of the micro and macro moths, including butterflies as well as eggs, larvae and pupae, leaf-mines and characteristic plant damage of some species.
