We are pleased to announce that this year’s NBN Conference will take place on Wednesday 24 November and will once again be held online.
As there is still nervousness and uncertainty regarding the effect of the pandemic for the coming months, we feel that the right approach is still to avoid a face to face conference, so that we can ensure we hold an event that is safe for all of our delegates and speakers, as well as our staff.
Following the successful collaboration with the Open University and the iSpot team last year, and their invaluable help with the technical side of proceedings, we are delighted that we are running this as a co-hosted event again in 2021.
The details of the event so far are as follows:
Date: Wednesday 24 November
Theme: “Biodiversity data – from collection to use”
Platform: Microsoft Teams. Information on joining the event will be sent out in advance along with tutorials and information to guide you through using the software
Bookings: Open on 1 September
Programme: One day event. Predominantly 10 minute talks, Keynote presentation, Sir John Burnett Memorial Lecture, Q&As. Includes the NBN Trust AGM at lunchtime. Announcement of winners and runners up in the NBN Awards for Wildlife Recording will also be a highlight of the day.
We will bring you more information on this one-day event soon and hope to “see” many of you in November. In the meantime, thank you in advance for your support of our virtual Conference, we look forward to bringing you an inspiring day of talks and presentations.
