Role at the NBN Trust

• Engaging in consultation with relevant partners, stakeholders, and data providers/users regarding the shared data management and digital services system.
• Analysing the business and system requirements of BBD project partners.
• Supporting the creation of technical development roadmaps and requirements documentation for the system.

About Bethany

Working on the Better Biodiversity Data project at the NBN Trust is an exciting opportunity to work in area of great interest to me, the development and use of new tools and technologies in biodiversity monitoring.

I am fascinated by wildlife and enjoy spending time in nature. From childhood obsessions with insects and owls to conservation volunteering and appreciating the value of nature for mental health, biodiversity has always been important to me.

After completing an undergraduate degree in Zoology, I went on to study an MRes in Biodiversity, Evolution and Conservation at UCL. It was during my MRes that I gained an understanding of the important role new tools and technologies play in the work to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.

Prior to joining the NBN Trust I worked in the Civil Service on the development and implementation of internal systems and public facing services on websites and apps.
