This review of our work and impact during the last year focuses specifically on our four strategic ambitions, which are helping us to “make data work for nature”. We show how we are further developing the NBN Atlas and how data are being used to provide the evidence for nature’s recovery; our involvement in citizen science, through iNaturalistUK and beyond; and how we are collaborating and celebrating contributions from across our Network.
A word from our Retiring Chair, Neil Hodges
“It has been a career highlight supporting such an important charity and working with its partners across the National Biodiversity Network (NBN)….I look back over six years to how the Trust has increased its focus on the environmental impact of its work, avoiding the trap of collecting data for data’s sake; the strengthening of the NBN Atlas befitting its role as a UK hub for biodiversity data; and I will have particularly fond recollections of working with many outstanding individuals who, often as volunteers, dedicate themselves to tackling environmental challenges”.
