Promoting and recording the wildlife of Leicestershire and Rutland

NatureSpot overview

NatureSpot is a registered charity, established in 2009 with the aim of promoting the wildlife and wild places of Leicestershire and Rutland and helping to increase public awareness of, and interest in, local biodiversity. It is entirely run by committed volunteers. Our aims are:

  1. To help the public to identify local wildlife and to learn about the natural environment
  2. To create, with public participation, an online showcase of the wildlife and wild places of Leicestershire and Rutland
  3. To encourage and facilitate wildlife recording, collecting data from the public
