This review of our work during the last financial year focuses specifically on the impact we are having in each of our four strategic ambitions. We show how we are further developing the NBN Atlas and how data are being used to provide the evidence for nature’s recovery; our involvement in citizen science, through iNaturalistUK and beyond; and how we are collaborating and celebrating contributions from across our Network, including the NBN Awards for Wildlife Recording.
A word from our Chairperson, Pete Tomlin:
“In ecological terms, the NBN Trust continues to be the ‘keystone species’ of the conservation sector, providing access to the data you all need to make good, evidence-based decisions. With nearly a billion records downloaded from the NBN Atlas in 2024/25 alone, the impact and value of our work is felt across academia, research, conservation, public policy and citizen science, with a scope that goes from the hyper-local to the global”.
