National Education Nature Park and Climate Action Awards
February 2024
The National Education Nature Park empowers young people to make a positive difference to both their own and nature’s future, through creating a network of green spaces in schools, nurseries and colleges across the country.
Young people lead the way in taking action to boost biodiversity on their learning sites, by improving their space for nature and their learning community, with the collective difference they are making displayed on a national map. As well as contributing to nature recovery, the programme is designed to develop young people’s digital and green skills and enhance their wellbeing through connection to nature. All schools, nurseries and colleges in England can join the Nature Park. You can register here.
Resources for Children’s Mental Health Week
It’s Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week this week (5-11 February), and we’ve got some free resources linked to nature and wellbeing that can support your teaching. From imagining the outdoors from the perspective of wildlife in our Points of view activity to designing a plant, our activities help learners to observe and notice details about their environment, as well as develop empathy for other living things.
