Dipterists Forum promotes the study, recording and conservation of true flies (Diptera) in the British Isles. We conduct field meetings & workshops and publish a biannual Bulletin and a journal, Dipterists Digest. We welcome beginners, as well as experienced Dipterists and professional entomologists. Flies are amazingly diverse and varied; with over 7,000 species the order Diptera is the largest in the UK. Their enormous range of habitats, appearances, biology, behaviours and ease of identification has resulted in the development of over 20 different Recording Schemes and Study Groups.
