First published in 2008 and updated in 2015 the GB Invasive Non-native Species Strategy was developed to meet the challenge posed by invasive non-native species in Great Britain.

There are many non-native species in Great Britain, but only a small proportion are invasive, meaning that they have serious negative impacts on our native British species, our health or our economy.

Non-native Species Secretariat (NNSS)

The Non-native Species Secretariat is responsible for coordinating the approach to invasive non-native species in Great Britain.

The NNSS has produced a website in order to help those interested in finding out more about invasive non-native species and to facilitate those working on this subject in Great Britain.

Go to the GB Non-Native Species Secretariat website to find out more.
