Hidden Nature Week
Celebrate Hidden Nature Week (14-20 October 2024) by taking part in the Hidden Nature Challenge from the National Education Nature Park.
The Hidden Nature Challenge is a 20-minute activity from the National Education Nature Park programme that gets children and young people outside and exploring their outdoor spaces. Discover what wildlife is hiding around your school site and have the chance to win a bundle of prizes for your school, college or nursery!

Giveaway terms and conditions
Open to all education settings with a Department for Education URN in England. Just register for the Nature Park Programme as ‘Staff at a school college or nursery’ and participate in the Hidden Nature Challenge during week commencing 14 October 2024 and you will be automatically entered. 3 winners will be chosen at random from those who enter and will receive a merchandise bundle with a retail value of £150. Entries open 00:00:01 on 14 October 2024 and close at 23:59:59 on 20 October 2024. You must be aged 18+ to enter an education organisation. One entry per education organisation. Prize to be delivered to a UK address only. We will contact the prize winner by email during w/c 28 October 2024 and winners will receive their prize on or before 25 January 2025. We would like to publish the names of the winning organisations. You grant us a licence to use pictures you take in the Hidden Nature Challenge. See terms and conditions for more details.
Annual report from the National Education Nature Park
The first annual report from the National Education Nature Park has been published, showing that more than 1 in 8 schools and colleges across England have joined the free programme in its first year. The programme is creating a network of green spaces across the education estate.
