Many earthworm studies concentrate on European earthworms, particularly their roles in soil processes, agriculture and ecotoxicology. This virtual event will explore the worldwide diversity of earthworms and some the fascinating and exotic species that have been discovered by earthworm researchers. Earthworm scientists will present their research and explain what this tells us, over the course of this three-hour event.Beginning by travelling around the globe with Dr Sam James and learning about some of the weird and wonderful earthworms that he’s described to science.
