An introduction to identifying broad-leaved trees in winter
This one day course will provide an introduction to identifying broadleaved trees in winter. The morning session will be spent in the classroom and will include an overview of the key features of bare stems and winter buds as well as the most commonly encountered trees. Time will be dedicated to keying out specimens. Weather permitting, the afternoon session will take place outdoors along the River Esk walkway exploring the trees along the river banks.

Cost: Suggested donation of £5 to help cover costs. Free tickets are also available.
