This 7 day course at the iconic Flatford Mill field centre will introduce you to the identification and ecology of solitary bees, including nesting and foraging requirements, hosts and associated nest parasites.
Teaching will be through a combination of presentations, field visits and microscope workshops using keys and prepared specimens.
By the end of the course you should be more confident in identifying the more commonly encountered families and genera. The week-long format allows participants to fully immerse themselves in the topic and really consolidate their day-to-day learning.
