Join us at our conference for a day filled with captivating talks, engaging displays and a chance to meet with like-minded individuals. Anyone interested in wildlife recording and conservation is welcome to attend.
The programme will be centred around the theme of Costal Recording and Conservation. Confirmed speakers include expert botanist, Ben Averis who will present on Coastal Habitats of South-east and Central Scotland, Warren Maguire will introduce The Marine Isopod Recording Scheme, Amy Tyndall’s (EOLAS Insight) presentation will be on how technology can be used for Seabird Conservation, and Fiona Ware’s talk will cover the National Museums Scotland Marine Invertebrate Collection.
We are also pleased to include a talk from our friends at Biological Recording in Scotland (BRISC) as part of the event. As BRISC winds up in 2025, this talk by Jonathan Willet will be a chance to hear about some of the history of the organisation, and reflect on the achievements of this small but impactful organisation over the last 50 years.
The event concludes with the presentation of the Bob Saville Award, a prize that is awarded annually to an individual or group who has made an outstanding contribution to recording or have encouraged, supported, and passed on their wildlife knowledge to others in our area.
