The TWIC and BRISC Autumn Conference

The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC) and Biological Recording in Scotland (BRISC) are jointly holding their Autumn Conference on Saturday 11 November 2023 at Stirling High School, in Stirling, with field meetings planned for Sunday 12 November 2023. This will be an interesting day of talks, displays, a chance to catch up with friends and meet new people and find out about recording initiatives from across the area. Talks will centre round how to go about attracting new people to the biological recording, including younger naturalists and the role that technology can play.The super line-up of four speakers confirmed to date include:  Matt Larsen-Daw (Mammal Society), Per Smiseth (Cemetery Wildlife Watch), Christine Tansey (National Biodiversity Network Trust) and Claudia Caporusso.The event will also host TWIC’s AGM and the presentation of the Bob Saville Award.Sunday will provide the opportunity to visit some local sites for wildlife – details to be confirmed.Booking details coming soon, but please put the dates in your diary!
