Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) cordially invite you to its virtual Snakes in the Heather Celebration event, taking place from 6pm on Tuesday 22nd June 2021.
Snakes in the Heather is ARC’s flagship project, helping to conserve our rarest reptile – the smooth snake. We will showcase the progress of the project to date, celebrate the work of our volunteers, and provide an opportunity for you to ask questions.
This Heritage Lottery Funded project is an exciting and ambitious project led by ARC to conserve the smooth snake throughout its range in Southern England. The project is advancing our knowledge of the species and coordinating conservation efforts essential for its long-term survival. We work in partnership with a wide variety of wildlife conservation organisations, site managers, landowners and individuals to protect this rare and elusive species and the internationally important lowland heathland habitat on which it depends.
