Identifying larval dragonflies and damseflies

This two day course focuses on the larval stages and exuviae (cast larval skins – important stages for proof of breeding) of British Odonata.

It will include sampling methods, field and laboratory identification, and an overview of dragonfly ecology and life histories. The trainer, Steve Cham, was the organiser of the Dragonfly Recording Network and one of the authors on the recent Dragonfly atlas. He is author of the ‘Field guide to the larvae and exuviae of British dragonflies and damselflies’
