Bat Surveys: An Introduction to Bats, Buildings and Activity Surveys. This one day course is aimed at people entering or working in the ecology sector who want to get an introduction to bat surveying before the start of the survey season. The course covers:
– biology and ecology of bats
– identification of British bats
– bat legislation
– How to plan and conduct a Preliminary Roost Assessment on buildings, identifying potential for bat roosts
– nocturnal activity surveys
