An ‘advancing in R statistics’ course based around biological datasets is being delivered by Luc Bussière from Stirling University at the Scottish Centre for Ecology and the Natural Environment (SCENE) from December 1st -5th 2014. The course has an introductory component which will then lead in to modules on model selection and simplification, mixed effects models, generalised linear models (with mixed effects) and nonlinear models (with mixed effects).
