Advanced Indicia

A free training workshop to enable participants with some experience of Indicia to develop their skills and build advanced recording websites using Indicia.  

Who is the training for?  

Places are limited to a maximum of 12 participants who meet the following requirements:
• Familiarity with the content of the Instant Indicia tutorials.
• Basic PHP and SQL skills
• Commitment to developing an Indicia-based online recording portal for their organisation

Course content:

Discussions, presentations and exercises around the following topics:
• Advanced configuration of Drupal prebuilt forms
• Building complex report pages including maps
• Writing custom report queries
• Using triggers to e-mail alerts
• Advanced site building in Drupal, including overriding control HTML templates.
• Writing your own PHP code with the Indicia API
• Authentication and using the warehouse web services.

Additional content if time allows:
• An introduction to GeoServer
