From field notebook to database using Excel

Location:
White Hart Hotel, Harrogate
Starts:
Sunday 10 October 2010, 10:00

A one day introductory workshop for naturalists wishing to use Excel to supply records to their local Record Centre. A Yorkshire Naturalists Union / OPAL joint course.

To undertake the course, it would help if you can bring along a laptop with Excel or Open Office as software and a mouse. You will also need some site based biological records together with a 1:25,000 map of the area.
We use a procedure called Vlookup to allow rapid data entry accurately.

For more information and to book your place please contact Sarah West at opalproject@york.ac.uk
