The following funding and grant opportunities are available.
Funding Available for Urban Nature Projects (UK)
Grants of up to £2,000 are available to community, youth and voluntary groups from across the UK that want to bring local people together to transform urban areas by sowing and growing UK native wildflowers and/or fungi.
The funding, which is being made available through the charity Grow Wild (an initiative of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew), will support activities and costs such as:
- seeds, plants, soil
- tools and materials
- events and workshops
- specialist experts and contactor costs
- staff costs related to project delivery
The programme will support twenty-three community-led projects that benefit both wildlife and people, with a particular focus on engaging:
- young people (aged 12-25)
- people experiencing disadvantage or reduced access to services
- people who are less engaged with others in their local community
- people who face barriers to connecting with nature
- disabled people
Successful groups can also apply for a £500 follow-on grant for spring 2027 to support ongoing activities, along with access to tailored online training sessions and opportunities to connect with other participating groups.
Applications close at 3:00pm on 4 February 2026.

Grants for Community & Environmental Projects (England & Scotland)
Not-for-profit organisations can apply for funding to deliver projects that improve communities and the environment. The funding is made available through the SUEZ Communities Fund for projects that improve public amenities, repair religious or historic buildings, or support biodiversity in areas surrounding Suez landfill sites. The maximum grant amount is £50,000 for projects in England and £20,000 in Scotland. Projects need to be located in a funding zone surrounding a qualifying site owned by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK. Funding typically covers materials, equipment, and contractors for improvement work.
The application deadline is 11 February 2026 for applications in England and 18 February 2026 for applications in Scotland.
Enovert Community Trust (England – Various Locations)
The Enovert Community Trust has announced that the next closing date for applications to its grants programme is 27 February 2026.
The Trust supports community and environmental projects, such as improving community halls, creating new children’s play areas, restoring green spaces and habitats, and enhancing community sports and recreation facilities. Funding is available to non-profit organisations, constituted organisations or groups within 10 miles of a landfill site operated by Enovert Management Limited or within 10 miles of a waste facility managed by the company. In the past, most grants were up to £50,000, but no maximum or minimum grant levels were given.
