“From ambition to action: the role of standards in building resilience through nature”

Abstract: Nature underpins economic prosperity, resilience and wellbeing, yet reversing nature loss requires credible, coordinated action. Drawing on BSI’s Nature Investment Standards Programme and biodiversity standards work, this talk explores how standards can build trust, support investment, enable collaboration and help scale nature recovery.

Emily is British Standards Institution’s Sector Lead for Food and Nature, shaping standards that support sustainable food systems, resilience, regenerative agriculture and nature-positive outcomes through collaboration. BSI is the UK’s national standards body, helping organisations worldwide build trust, improve performance and drive sustainability through standards, assurance, training and consulting.
