Ian Jackson will be giving a talk on:

“Digital Rocks”

Abstract: The lessons learned in transforming and delivering data in all organisations are generic. A candid story about the challenges and outcomes of making environmental data work.

Ian is an ex-Information Director, British Geological Survey. He is now a volunteer and Trustee with Northumberland Wildlife Trust. Northumberland Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated to saving wildlife and wild places and helping people to get closer to nature.

Ian is a field geologist who applied early spatial and database systems to geology and led UK, European and global programmes to manage and deliver environmental data.
