Using the NBN Atlas Scotland to inform Species Recording

Join Sophia Ratcliffe, NBN Atlas Data Manager, for a demonstration and workshop-style session covering how the NBN Atlas Scotland can support species recording. We will go through the separate searches available on the Atlas: species, records, and locations, and how they fit together. Questions will be welcome throughout. If there are any specific questions or concerns that attendees would like addressed during the session, please contact Sophia by email to s.ratcliffe@nbn.org.uk before the workshop.

The workshop will be hosted on Zoom and is being organised by TWIC, The Wildlife Information Centre.

Cost: Choose either the free ticket type or the donation ticket type (minimum donation £1). Donations to TWIC will support our work in organising biological recording training workshops and events.

Tutors: Sophia Ratcliffe is the NBN Atlas Data Manager for the National Biodiversity Network Trust (NBN Trust). Sophia leads on liaising with NBN’s Data Partners to assist them in preparing and contributing data to the NBN Atlas, as well as providing support to NBN Atlas data users. She also helps organisations evaluate how to use the NBN Atlas and integrate it with their own working practices.
