Join The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC) for an interactive one-day workshop focused on small mammal trapping and surveying, and owl pellet analysis.
This hands-on session led by experienced ecologist and wildlife educator, Graeme Wilson, will start with an outdoor small mammal trapping activity in the morning, followed by a classroom-based session on small mammal identification and survey techniques. After a break for lunch, the workshop will conclude by exploring owl pellet dissection and analysis, uncovering the secrets hidden inside.
This workshop is designed to provide practical experience in both surveying small mammals and analysing owl pellets. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about local wildlife in an engaging, practical way.
Suitable for: Beginners. Ages 16 and above
Cost: Free (Donations to TWIC are welcome and appreciated).
Booking essential via Eventbrite as places will be limited.
TWIC will have 2 spaces in their car should anyone require a lift from Haddington.
