The National Bat Conference is an annual event run by the Bat Conservation Trust for professional and voluntary bat workers. The weekend consists of a series of talks and workshop and is agreat opportunity to learn about the latest developments.

Gardening with Nature – Harrogate Spring Flower Show

The Harrogate Spring Flower Show is a key event in the horticultural year, one of the earliest shows of the year, timed perfectly for the beginning of the gardening year, attracting over 60,000 visitors over four days.  Gardening with Nature is located undercover within a large marquee, a main thoroughfare of the show. 

 

National Butterfly Recorders’ Meeting 2012

The annual National Butterfly Recorders’ Meeting provides the latest information on butterfly populations and trends from the national recording and monitoring schemes, new research findings from scientists and news and feedback from butterfly enthusiasts across the UK. This year, we are delighted and very privileged to have Professor Jeremy Thomas OBE from Oxford University as our guest speaker.

Following the success of the biodiversity data management tools workshops that were run in London and Edinburgh last year, this is another chance to take part in hands-on interactive sessions to learn about Indicia, the NBN Gateway and Record Cleaner.   This workshop also includes a lot of brand new content, with demonstrations of new tools and software for the management of habitat and land use data, the use of web services in Local Record Centre applications and a variety of systems for online data management.
