Reptiles form an important part of our living landscape and are vulnerable to habitat loss through development and lack of suitable management. The aim of this conference is to broaden environmental practitioners understanding of reptile ecology, conservation and mitigation, with a focus on the East of England region. Topics will include the status of reptiles in the East of England, radio tracking adders, mitigation case studies, survey methodologies, and the new Natural England mitigation guidance, with plenty of time for discussion and networking in between. With recent changes in policy with the new National Planning Policy Framework and the introduction of a biodiversity offsetting pilot areas (with two of the six areas in the East of England) delegates will also explore how this relates to reptiles.
