Toads on Roads Project is a national project across England, Scotland and Wales.

What excites the group about recording wildlife and what motivates them to get involved?

“Recording wildlife is exciting because every record contributes to a bigger picture of what’s happening to our wildlife and helps us understand where conservation action is most needed. For me, working with Toads on Roads is particularly rewarding because the records collected by our dedicated Toad Patrollers not only highlight the incredible journeys amphibians make each year, but also help demonstrate the scale of the threats they face on our roads. I’m continually motivated by the passion and commitment of our volunteers, who give their time to protect amphibians and collect valuable data that can make a real difference to their conservation.”
