What is it that excites, motivates and inspires James to record?

“Recording biodiversity means so much to me, it has uncovered a passion so strong it is a wonder how it took me so long to find it. Every record immortalises an organism into a database which helps us to understand and conserve the living world all around us. One of the best things about biodiversity recording is that life is everywhere, meaning you can record anywhere – on a walk, in the garden, in the house, on the train, in the cracks of a pavement… anywhere! There are always new things to learn and discover, which can, admittedly, be overwhelming at times, but is a testament to the scale and diversity of life, and adds to the excitement and mystery of what you may find next! Discovering, identifying, and recording life of all kinds is, to me, one of the most gratifying feelings.”
